Pack layers: evenings can be cool (especially desert and early mornings).
Bring comfy walking shoes: medinas + ruins + canyons mean lots of steps.
For the south: sunscreen + sunglasses + a light scarf for wind/sand.
Start early in Douz if you want sunrise photos on the dunes.
Keep some cash for souks, small museums, and craft purchases (Nabeul/Guellala).
