This 14-day grand tour takes you from the historic highlights of Tunis, Carthage, and Sidi Bou Said through the UNESCO Medina and Bardo Museum, then down the coast to Hammamet, Nabeul, and Sousse. Continue through El Jem and Sfax to Djerba for island culture and heritage, before entering the deep south: ksour and Berber villages (Tataouine, Chenini, Douiret), a Sahara camp night in Ksar Ghilane with a hot spring swim, dunes and salt lake landscapes on the way to Douz and Tozeur, mountain oases and Star Wars filming sites, then onward to Kairouan’s spiritual treasures — ending with a relaxed farewell night in Hammamet before your transfer to Tunis airport.

Practical tips
A few things that make the trip smoother (and better photos).
Pack layers: nights can be cooler in the desert and in Zaghouan/Kairouan evenings.
Bring comfy walking shoes: medinas, ruins, and village treks have uneven stone paths.
Sunscreen + sunglasses are essential (salt lake + Sahara days are bright).
A light scarf helps for wind/sand in Ksar Ghilane and desert transfers.
Keep some cash for souks, crafts (Guellala), and small village purchases.
If you do the Chenini → Douiret trek, pack a small daypack and water for the walk.
